“Protecting God’s Children® for Adults” is a live training conducted by VIRTUS® certified facilitators on the prevention and reporting of child neglect and abuse. The training makes participants aware of the signs of grooming, neglect and child sexual abuse, the methods and means by which offenders commit abuse, and five easy steps one can use to prevent child sexual abuse.

***Registration through VIRTUS Online is required for all live classes***

NO CHILDREN ALLOWED

This is a program for adults (18 and over)  on the prevention of child sex abuse. 16- and 17-year-olds may attend with parent/guardian permission only.

Have you already taken a live class previously and are due a Safe Environment refresher course or need a past training certificate?

Please contact your parish and ask for the Safe Environment Coordinator for further instructions on how to access your record at www.VIRTUS.org

The current Safe Environment online refresher course is “Vulnerable Adults”.

The Archdiocese of Denver Code of Conduct requires that church workers be  mandated reporters for not only child and youth abuse and neglect, but also for at-risk-adult and elder abuse and neglect.

This Vulnerable Adults Training is a way to introduce this latter subject matter and at the same time refresh our commitment to keeping all of the most vulnerable safe from harm.
