ARE YOU A VIP (Vocation In Progress)?
The answer is YES!
God has a vocation (calling) for everyone. The first and most important call is the universal call to holiness. God is calling YOU to become Saint (insert your name here).
Secondly, God is calling you to live out faith, hope, and love in a specific state in life: the priesthood, married life, or consecrated life. God, who can't be outdone in generosity, is counting on YOU to say "YES" to Him.
Check out this quote from Pope Benedict XVI about the generosity of God:
"Dear Young people: Do not be afraid of Christ! He takes nothing away, and he gives you everything. When we give ourselves to him, we receive a hundredfold in return. Yes, open, open wide the doors to Christ - and you will find true life."
- Pope Benedict XVI, Mass for the inauguration of his pontificate
Giving your heart totally to God and seeking to fulfill His plans for your life is the most important thing you can do as a young person (or at any age for that matter!).
The Office of Vocations & the Office of Consecrated Life are here to help you discern your path.
Feel free to contact Fr. Jim Crismin, Director of Vocations, or Sr. Sharon Ford R.S.M., Director of Consecrated Life, for personal vocational guidance or for information about the many events being offered by the Archdiocese to help you say "YES" to whatever God is calling you to.
