THE YOUNG APOSTLE LEADERSHIP TEAM is a group of teens who want to learn about leading others the same way that Christ did: by serving. During a week-long leadership and evangelization training they will learn the skills to bring leadership qualities back to their parish, and to grow deeper in their spiritual life. They will participate in a youth conference and serve their peers by doing everything from welcoming participants to performing dramas; from teaching participants the theme song to sharing their testimony.

NOT ONLY THAT, but the Young Apostles will spend a lot of time together sharing and encouraging each other’s faith and talking about how to be a leader in Christ by serving others. They’ll go over such things as how to share their faith, how to be spiritually strong in a spiritually dead world, peer pressure, etc. The overall combination of fun, service, and growth in Christ promises to offer an experience in which students truly will realize what it means to Experience the Glory of our faith!

YOUNG APOSTLES is for youth who:

1) have committed themselves to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. They are teens who have a heartfelt desire to grow and serve the Lord.

2) are going to be juniors or seniors in high school or have graduated from high school in 2005.

3) have attended a past High School Youth Conference.

4) have not previously been on the Young Apostle Leadership Team. (Note: Students who have previously served as a Young Apostle can apply for a second time. We fill the Young Apostle Teams with first-time applicants. If there are spaces available, we will open the invitation to students who want to come back for a second time.)

WHAT IS THE COST?
The cost of being a Young Apostle is determined by the individual conferences. The cost ranges from $225.00 to $245.00. This price includes a week’s worth of training, your conference registration, housing, meals, snacks, leadership training, special materials, activities, and a Young Apostle T-shirt.

WHY SHOULD I APPLY?
To grow in your faith, to see God’s awesome presence in your life and in others’ lives, and to learn how to be a leader in Christ through service.
