The Office serves as Catholic Charities liaison to the archbishop for social concerns and the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops (USCCB), Office of Social Development and World Peace. The office advances the social teaching of the church (Catholic Social Teaching) on domestic and international issues while advocating for the poor and vulnerable.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS)
Catholic Relief Sevices (CRS) is the official international development and relief agency of the U.S. Catholic Bishops. CRS works in over 90 countries throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. CRS works to create global solidarity among people to foster international awareness, work for justice and promote peace and justice.

Catholic Relief Services Collection
This annual appeal supports agencies that build the international social ministry of the Catholic Church through advocacy on behalf of the powerless and impoverished people and resettlement services to victims of natural disasters, war and religious persecution. The ABOA supports the work of Catholic Relief Services, the UCSSB Department of Social Development and World Peace, relief work of the Holy Father, and USCCB's Migration and Refugee Services.

Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD)
The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) is the domestic anti-poverty, social justice program of the U.S. Catholic bishops. The mission of CCHD is to address the cause of poverty in America through the promotion and support of community based organizations working to overcome poverty. Education on justice, poverty and Catholic Social Teaching is inherent in CCHD's programs and efforts.

Missions
The office works to promote the missionary vision of the church through mission awareness and educational efforts. Mission programs include the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, World Mission Sunday, Mission Cooperation Plan, and Holy Childhood Association. In collaboration with missionaries and mission organization within the Archdiocese the office supports, encourages and participates in the missionary aspirations of the church.

Archdiocesan HIV/AIDS Ministry
The ministry offers support to person who are HIV positive, and for persons living with AIDS including their families, friends and associates. Support groups, retreats, information and referral, and pastoral support are available. The ministry extends compassion and advocacates for all people affected by this disease, both at the local, national and international levels. The Ministry phone line is: 303-715-3287.

Rural Life Ministry
The Rural Life Ministry promotes active parish life in rural areas through resources, training and educational programming. A part-time liaison is responsible for bring rural life needs and issues to the attention of the urban Catholic community.

Catholic Deaf Community
The Catholic Deaf Community is an active and integral ministry of Holy Cross Parish in Thornton. Pastoral care and religious education programs are specially designed for the community. Korean Catholic Community
With over 200 Korean families in the Denver area, the Korean community finds parish life and worship available at St Lawrence Parish in Aurora. Pastoral care and religious education programs are provided in Korean. St Lawrence Korean Catholic Community - 303-617-8265.

Hmong Community
The Hmong community is refugees from the mountains of Laos and Vietnam. Many Hmong immigrated to the United States as refugees from the Vietnam war. Pastoral Care, worship, and religious education are available through All Saints Parish in Denver - 303-922-3758.

Vietnamese Catholic Community
Over 1,200 families participate in the life of the Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs parish in Wheatridge. Mass and programs are available in Vietnamese, while lunch and community gathering is served in the parish center after the Sunday Mass. Queen of Vietnamese Martyrs - 303-431-0382.

Outreach For Recovery
Outreach for Recovery is a ministry to provide confidential help to those persons and families confronting alcohol and substance abuse. This confidential program provides accessible and caring resources to help Catholics find personal support and assistance in dealing with substance abuse. The program provides referrals to qualified professional, groups, and other appropriate community services
