Monsignor George Schroeder is vicar general and vicar for clergy and seminarians, 303-715-3197. The Vicariate for Clergy and Seminarians also includes the Vocations Department and Continuing Education of Priests and the Diaconate.

The vicar assists the archbishop in matters pertaining to the assignment, welfare and spiritual development of priests, deacons and seminarians.

He is also a liaison for the archbishop with the Priests' Retirement Committee and the Presbyteral Council.

This office is also responsible for the implementing of recommendations from these groups which are accepted and promulgated by the archbishop.

Continuing Education for Priests
The goal of this office is to meet the continuing education needs of the priests in the Archdiocese of Denver. It strives to respond to the needs of pastoral ministry and the priests' personal and spiritual lives. A committee of priests are advisers to the program. The needs of priests are met through workshops, conferences and sabbatical programs. This office is also responsible for scheduling and coordinating retreats for the priests of the archdiocese. Vocations
Fr. Jeffrey Wilborn, director of vocations, 303-282-3429. The vocation directors assist individuals to recognize a specific call within the Church and discern the ways the Lord may be calling them. The directors also supervise the seminarians' formation program, work closely with their respective seminaries, and continue to discern with each candidate his specific call to priestly ministry.
