Overview & Schedule of Classes 2008

This one-day couple's workshop is taught by a certified instructor and offered throughout the archdiocese.

God's Plan for a Joy-Filled Marriage explains the timeless wisdom of Catholic teaching on God's plan for marriage. God wishes to shower upon spouses the joy of sharing in his love. In the face of so much marital unhappiness in our world today, it makes sense to turn to God, the author of marriage, to rediscover his plan for a joy-filled, lasting marriage.

The morning session, Catholic Faith & Your Marriage, provides an overview of biblical teaching on marriage and explains the meaning and importance of the commitments made in the exchange of vows. The afternoon session, Sacramental Sexuality, draws from the scriptural foundation already laid to present the beauty and goodness of God's plan for sexual union, explaining the whys behind the whats of Catholic teaching.

Time

Most classes are held on Saturdays and begin at 9:00 a.m. Depending on the size of the class, couples can expect to finish between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. Classes are also held on consecutive weekdays from 6:30p.m. to 10p.m. Pre-registration is required for all classes. Classes fill up well in advance.

Cost

$80 per couple (includes lunch, workbooks and text book). Please note that in cases of real financial need, scholarships are available.
