Books by John Paul II
Pope John Paul II was a prolific writer. In his years prior to serving as the Holy Father of the Roman Catholic Church, Karol Wojtyla penned numerous philosophical and theological articles on ethics. He was also fond of poetry and the theater, writing many poems and plays.
Since serving as Pope, John Paul the II has written 5 books:
"Crossing the Threshold of Hope" (October 1994)
"Gift and Mystery: On the 50th Anniversary of My Priestly Ordination" (November 1996)
"Roman Triptych - Meditations", a book of poems (March 2003);
"Rise, Let Us Be On Our Way" (May 2004)
"Memory and Identity" (pubblication spring 2005).
The Holy Father’s writings and reflections guided Catholics and the world community through faith, struggles, and the path to love and glory with God. He will be missed greatly, but his writings and legacy will live on.
