John Paul II Center for the New Evangelization

In 1996, inspired by the 1993 visit of His Holiness Pope John Paul II to Denver for World Youth Day, the Archdiocese of Denver announced that the former St. Thomas seminary would be renamed the "John Paul II Center for the New Evangelization." Currently, all ministries of the Archdiocese of Denver are headquartered on the John Paul II Center's campus, located at 1300 South Steele Street in Denver.

Visitor opportunities
Beautifully situated in the heart of Denver's Cherry Creek district, the John Paul II Center campus offers visitors many opportunities for both spiritual and intellectual reflection. The Archbishop Vehr Library as well as the outdoor Stations of the Cross are open for public visit. Please confirm visiting hours with the John Paul II Center at 303-722-4687.

The Archdiocesan Pastoral Center
In 1997, the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center (commonly referred to as the "Chancery") relocated to the John Paul II campus. The Chancery is composed of the Office of the Archbishop, his vicars, ministerial directors and others who collaborate in the administration of various Archdiocesan programs.

Denver's seminaries
In addition to the Chancery, both St. John Vianney Theological Seminary and Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary are housed on the campus. St. John Vianney's
Christ the King Chapel is open for public visit during designated time periods; please confirm visiting hours with the seminary at 303-282-3427.
