The mission of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association, Inc. is to support mental health practitioners by promoting the development of psychological theory and mental health practice which encompasses a full understanding of the human person and society in communion with the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Membership in the CPA has many benefits: it enables you to network with like-minded Catholics in the mental health field at conferences and through its new listserve, as well as offering quarterly teleconferences on a variety of subjects. Faculty, students in the mental health field and others not directly working in the field of psychotherapy but who are interested are also encouraged to join the CPA.
