This year's retreat theme is: This Chosen Path:  Luke 24: 13-35.
 
The path we take leads us to the destination of our choosing. Have you taken the right path, or is it time to turn around, wake up and heed His call. Have you been led astray by worldly needs? Find the road to Christ...His way will not always be easy...but it will always be the way, the truth and the light.

Deacon Arthur Miller, Archdiocese of Hartford, Conn, author, radio host, revivalist, and retired businessman will direct the Annual Black Catholic retreat.

Cost:  $170.00 for the weekend

In October 2, 2009 the Archdiocese of Denver began recognizing a person each year for their service to the black Catholic community at the first annual St. Josephine Bakhita/St. Katharine Drexel Award Dinner. T

The Inaugural award recipient was Deacon Guffie Menogan for his steadfast faith, leadership and dedication to the Church. The award honors a Catholic who has shown extraordinary leadership in evangelization in the Black community.

Deadline for nominations will be August 1, 2010.
