Showing of film ‘Restless Heart’ on St. Augustine to benefit seminaries
The notable autography about the life and conversion of St. Augustine has made its way onto the big screen this year.
St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Littleton and Ignatius Press will host a showing of the film “Restless Heart: The Confessions of Augustine” 7 p.m. Dec. 1 at Front Range Christian School, 6657 W. Ottawa Ave. in Littleton.
The first full-length feature movie depicts St. Augustine of Hippo’s time as a student in Carthage to his rise in fame as an accomplished orator. His spiritual journey began when he converted to Manichaeism, a guilt-free religion, to his change of heart and entrance into the Catholic Church.
Tickets are available for purchase by calling 303-523-8688 or emailing debsmith@thevx.com. The cost is $10 per ticket. The proceeds benefit A New Harvest campaign, a fundraiser for the seminaries of the Denver Archdiocese.
