Lisa Hendey |
On Aug. 4, Notre Dame Women Connect of Denver will present an evening with author and founder of CatholicMom.com, Lisa Hendey, at Regis University in Denver.
Hendey, a 1985 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, is the author of “A Book of Saints for Catholic Moms: 52 Companions for Your Heart, Mind, Body and Soul” and “The Handbook for Catholic Moms.”
The evening will kick off with 5:45 p.m. Mass at Madonna Della Strada side chapel of St. John Francis Regis Chapel, followed by wine-tasting and hors d’oeuvres in St. Peter Claver S.J. Hall, before Hendey’s 7:15 p.m. talk: “Saints in the Making.”
“I’m thrilled to be visiting Denver and speaking on ‘Saints in the Making’” Hendey told the Denver Catholic Register from her Fresno, Cali., home. “As we journey along life’s path toward heaven, I find it helpful to turn to the many spiritual companions our Church has recognized for their lives of great virtue.”
She will also share experiences with the “saints in the making” she encounters each day working in the new evangelization.
Hendey, who specializes in Catholic new media, hosts the “Catholic Moments” podcast and “Catholic Mom” TV show; contributes to EWTN’s “SonRise Morning Show” and Relevant Radio’s “On Call” show; and writes for Faith & Family Live, Catholic News Agency and Catholic Exchange.
All are invited to the event, part of the Ladies of Our Lady series sponsored by Notre Dame Women Connect of Denver. The cost is $35. Registration is available at www.nddenver.com until Aug. 1. Regis University is located at 3333 Regis Blvd. in north Denver. Contact organizer Lynsey Strand at lynseystrand@hotmail.com or 970-690-3896 with questions.
