Annual HIV/AIDS Mass set Nov. 6 People living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C, their families, friends and caregivers are invited to participate in a Mass celebrated by Archbishop Charles Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at Holy Ghost Church. A reception will follow the Mass in the parish hall. Over the last 25 years, HIV and AIDS have infected more than 65 million people and have killed 25 million. By 2010, it is estimated that 80 million people will be infected and more then 25 million children will have been orphaned due to this pandemic. As part of the Mass, a list of names of those people who have died will be read. In addition to those suffering from HIV, those afflicted with Hepatitis C are also being remembered at the Mass, according to Al Hooper, director of Archdiocesan Social Ministry. Interested parties may contact Holy Ghost Church prior to the Mass and offer the names of family members and friends to be memorialized during the liturgy. Call 303-292-1556.
