Six men to be ordained deacons on path to priesthood
Men find joy in serving others with great love
Beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 17, in the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Bishop James Conley, apostolic administrator of the Denver Archdiocese, will ordain six seminarians to the diaconate in a step toward priesthood ordination.
The men attend St. John Vianney Theological Seminary and Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary in Denver, and Blessed John XXII Seminary in Weston, Mass.
As deacons, these men will promise to imitate Jesus Christ specifically in his witness of charity and service to those around him.

- Ron Cattany, 58, of Mother of God Parish, Denver
Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary
- José Aníbal Chicas Guevara, 28, of El Salvador
- Arturo Chagala, 28, of Mexico
- William Clemence, 28, of Brazil
St. John Vianney Theological Seminary
- Scott Bailey, 26, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Northglenn
- Joseph LaJoie, 29, Queen of Peace Parish, Aurora
