2014 Archdiocesan Pro-Life Essay and Artwork Contest
For all students within our Archdiocesan boundaries, including Catholic, public, private, and home-educated students.

Category 1: Contestants are to research, write, and provide an original pro-life essay on the issue of their choice. Content matter is to be related to humanity. No copyrighted essays are to be used in this contest. The contestant shall use up-to-date information. No parent is to author or assist. Essays will be judged on persuasiveness, accuracy, and creativity.
Category 2: An original drawing or painting representing the Annunciation – using any medium: pencil, ink, watercolor, oil, etc. For transportation/mailing we recommend that the artwork not exceed 11x17.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for:
- Students in grades 9-12
- Students in middle school, grades 6-8
On March 23rd, honoring the Feast of the Annunciation, awards will be given at the end of the 12:30 Holy Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, located at 1530 Logan Street, Denver. 1st prize essay winners will read their essays. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize artwork will be displayed on easels in the Cathedral.
