2012 Archdiocesan Pro-Life Essay and Artwork Contest
For all students within our Archdiocesan boundaries, including Catholic, public, private, and home-educated students.

Category 1: Contestants are to research, write, and provide an original pro-life essay on the issue of their choice. No copyrighted essays are to be used in this contest. The contestant shall use up-to-date information. Essays will be judged on persuasiveness, accuracy, and creativity.
Category 2: An original drawing or painting representing the Annunciation – using any medium: pencil, ink, watercolor, oil, etc. For transportation/mailing we recommend that the artwork not exceed 11x17.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for:
- Students in grades 9-12
- Students in middle school, grades 6-8
On March 25th, honoring the Feast of the Annunciation, awards will be given by Bishop Conley at the end of the 12:30 pm. Holy Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, located at 1530 Logan Street in downtown Denver.
First place essay winners will read their essays. The first, second and third place winners in the artwork will have their pieces displayed on easels in the Cathedral.
