On Nov. 18, Seeds of Hope Charitable Trust celebrated its 15th anniversary with 500 attendees at the organization’s annual Evening of Hope gala held at the Grand Hyatt hotel in downtown Denver. The event raised more than $400,000 for students served by Seeds of Hope, which provides tuition assistance to needy students to attend Catholic schools. Speaker Immaculee Ilibagiza delivered an inspirational talk about surviving the 1994 Rwandan genocide, which claimed the lives of most of her family. St. Rose of Lima School Choir provided musical entertainment, TV journalist Molly Hughes served as mistress of ceremonies and Seeds of Hope presented its inaugural Sister LaVonne Award to businessman Robert Lemming.
