With live performances by a Mariachi band, state-of-the-art high tech equipment and newly furnished classrooms and offices as a backdrop, Regis University celebrated the opening of its new dual-language campus Aug. 25 in Thornton. 

The festive event, attended by some 200 people including Regis University leadership and Thornton city officials, was the kick-off of the first university-level accelerated dual-language programs in the western United States designed for developing students skills in English and Spanish.
