The first university-level accelerated dual-language programs in the western United States designed for developing student skills in English and Spanish will become a reality when Regis University opens its dual-language campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony 11 a.m. Aug. 25 at 500 E. 84th Ave., Suite B-12 in Thornton, Colo.
The new campus will offer accelerated studies programs designed for adults who want to return to college to complete a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.
Classes begin at the new campus in fall 2011. The campus includes 28,371-square-feet of classrooms and office space. Regis’ College for Professional Studies will operate the campus, including providing bilingual faculty and staff. Luis Soto, former director of Centro San Juan Diego, has been hired as the executive director of the dual-language programs.
