Boulder teacher honored
JoAnne Corey, a teacher at Sacred Heart of Jesus School in Boulder, has been selected as a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Scholar from a national applicant pool to attend one of 20 summer study opportunities supported by the NEH.
The endowment is a federal agency that supports Landmarks of American History and Culture Workshops for educators to study with experts in the humanities disciplines.
The one-week program will be held in New Bedford, Mass.
The approximately 1,600 teachers who participate in these studies will teach more than 200,000 students the following year.
