Colorado Vincentian Volunteers mark 16th anniversary with benefit concert
By John Gleason
|
Heart and Soul Benefit Concert When: 7 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011 |
The Colorado Vincentian Volunteers will celebrate their “sweet 16th” anniversary with their annual Heart and Soul Benefit Concert 7 p.m. June 16 at the University of Denver’s Newman Center for the Performing Arts.
This year’s featured performers include American roots music treasures Mollie O’Brien and Rich Moore, plus the multi-talented Father Patrick Dolan with cabaret and Broadway tunes, and song and dance from Paul Dwyer’s Academy of Theatre Arts.
This year’s theme for Heart and Soul is “Hearts for Mercy, Souls for Justice.” The concert benefits the Colorado Vincentian Volunteers and their work serving people who are poor, elderly, homeless and developmentally challenged. These good works are done through the full-time, year-round efforts of young adult volunteers.
