Statue of Holy Family to again grace namesake school
When Holy Family High School moved from Denver to Broomfield in 1999, the statues of the Holy Family which overlooked its northwest Denver campus were left behind with the parish.
“It has long been a dream of the community that the statues would be replaced on the Broomfield campus,” said Patty Gabriel, director of development for the school. “After a year of fundraising, we are finally realizing our dream of acquiring a grouping of the Holy Family for our school.”
The statues are scheduled to arrive to the campus in a couple of weeks. A dedication is planned for Oct. 19. The celebration will begin with a Mass of thanksgiving at 2:30 p.m. in the school chapel followed by a procession to the east lawn where the dedication will take place. A reception in honor of the Holy Family High School community will follow.
The celebration is open to the Holy Family High School community, alumni, neighbors and friends. For more information, call Patty Gabriel at 303-410-1411 or send an e-mail to patty.gabriel@holyfamilyhs.com.
