Golf tournaments benefit many worthwhile causes
By John Gleason
Although the modern day version was invented in Scotland, variations on the game of golf can be found much earlier in world history. A delight to many, a bane to some; the game attracts enthusiasts from all walks. There seems to be no shortage of people who yearn to test their skill against the beauty and deceptive passivity of the golf course. Here in the Archdiocese of Denver, many organizations kick off their fundraising activities with a golf tournament, inviting participants to show their skills while raising money for a variety of causes. The following is a list of golf tournaments scheduled in the near future.
