St. Joseph Hospital Foundation benefit to feature Mary Jo Catlett
St. Joseph Hospital Foundation is saying, thank you to the community with an appreciation celebration at The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa in Denver. The May 4 event will benefit the hospital and will recognize the generosity of the individuals, businesses and foundations that contribute to the foundation.
Terry Biddinger, chairman of the foundation’s development committee, said the event is a perfect opportunity to acquaint the community with the mission and good works of the hospital and highlight the 138 years of service of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kan., who own and operate the hospital.
“We are making this a fun and exciting evening while supporting a very serious mission,” Biddinger said. “We encourage everyone to come and learn about the work that goes on at the hospital and how committed we are to carrying on the work and mission that the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth have entrusted to us.”
The evening’s entertainment will feature Broadway and film actress Mary Jo Catlett, best known for her role of Pearl Gallagher on television’s “Diff’rent Strokes.”
St. Joseph Hospital is one of the largest nonprofit hospitals in the region, having provided health care services to Denver’s neediest populations including the poor, the homeless and the underserved since 1873.
The event is set for 6 p.m. May 4 in the Grand Ballroom at the Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, 321 17th St., Denver. Tickets are $150 per person. Sponsorships are available. More information is available online at www.sjhfdenver.org.
