Four men to be ordained deacons on path to priesthood
Interviews reveal spiritual “fatherhood” as big draw
Beginning at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 16, in the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Denver Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., will ordain four men attending the two seminaries of the Denver Archdiocese to the diaconate, as a step toward ordination to the priesthood. As deacons, these men will promise to imitate Jesus Christ specifically in his witness of charity and service to those around him.
The complete list of men to be ordained on Saturday is as follows:
Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary:
- Wojciech Gierasimczyk, 30, of Poland
- Juan Manuel Bonilla Naranjo, 28, of Ecuador
St. John Vianney Theological Seminary
- Samuel Morehead, 27, of Berthoud, Colo.
- Ryan O'Neill, 27, of Fort Collins, Colo.
