Benedictine abbey offers nature hike Few things are more relaxing and enjoyable than a meditative nature hike. The Abbey of St. Walburga in Virginia Dale is inviting those interested to participate in such an adventure on Oct. 4. Following a midday prayer and lunch, the program includes a guided tour and meditations, with some time for just relaxing in the great outdoors. Organizers warn that the terrain is a bit rugged and rocky, and the hike is of moderate difficulty. Those who sign up are asked to wear sturdy shoes and clothing and to bring along sun protection. The Abbey of St. Walburga is located at 32109 North U.S. Highway 287, just north of Fort Collins. The hike will take place from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Cost is $25 for adults, $10 for children under 12. Pre-registration is requested. Registration and other information can be obtained by calling 970-472-0612 or visit online at walburga.org. |
