Casey lecture next week The Archdiocese of Denver invites the public to the fifth annual Casey Lecture to hear respected journalist Mark Stricherz, author of “Why Democrats Are Blue: Secular Liberalism and the Decline of the Peoples Party.” In the book, Stricherz discusses how a group of secular professionals seized control of the Democratic Party, driving away Catholics and blue-collar workers. Stricherz’s lecture will focus on three Democrats: David Lawrence, Robert F. Kennedy and Robert P. Casey who in their day fought and transcended secular values. |
