Christmas Eve Mass with Choir and Orchestra
“Great Credo Mass” by Mozart
Friday, Dec. 24: 8 p.m. (Christmas Carols by Candlelight, begin at 7 p.m.)
Description: The fine music tradition continues at St. Mary Catholic Parish with this Mass, conducted by Music Director Dr. Marcia Marchesi. The choir and orchestra play the “Great Credo Mass” (Mass in C Major - KV 257) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Carols by Candlelight will be sung by the congregation, soloists, and performed by the orchestra.

Posadas prayers surrounding the Nativity [in Spanish]
Wednesday, Dec. 22 and Thursday, Dec. 23, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. (in the church basement)
Description: The Posadas tradition commemorates Mary and Joseph’s journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of shelter on the night of baby Jesus’ birth. Father John Gregory Cieutat will lead families, including children, in recitation of the holy rosary while gathered around the large Nativity scene. These nightly Posadas celebrations began on Dec. 16 and continue through to Christmas Eve; a different family joins Father Cieutat in leading the rosary each night. Children break the piñata afterwards.
