Mass to honor police, firefighters and EMS professionals

The Archdiocese of Denver will hold its second annual Blue Mass at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Christ the King Church, 830 Elm St., Denver.

The Mass, held to recognize all police officers, firefighters and emergency medical service personnel, as well as honor those who have given themselves in the line of duty will be celebrated by Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., who is himself a former police chaplain.

Firefighters and police officers who plan on attending the Mass are asked to do so in uniform. For more information on the Blue Mass, contact the Office of Liturgy at 303-715-3156.
