Nine men installed to ministry of acolyte
On the morning of Aug. 22, Auxiliary Bishop James Conley installed nine men to the ministry of acolyte. These men are in formation to the order of deacon at St. Francis School of Theology for Deacons and are scheduled for ordination June 25, 2011. As acolytes, they assist deacons and priests at the altar and are a special minister of Eucharist. The men who received the ministry of acolyte are: Matthew Archer, Charles Hahn and Steven Hinkle, all of Spirit of Christ Parish in Arvada; David Berry of Holy Cross in Thornton; Colin Coleman of the Community of the Beatitudes at St. Catherine of Siena in Denver; Jerome Kraft of St. Joseph in Fort Collins; Christopher Phelps of the Diocese of Colorado Springs; Christopher Pormrening of St. Michael the Archangel in Aurora and John Riviera of Our Lady of the Valley in Windsor.
