Strategy for Evangelization
The following notes resulted from brainstorming discussions during the May 22, 2010 "Day of Reflection," held at St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Brady Hall. The theme of the 2010 Day of Reflection was "What we have seen and heard," a pastoral letter by Black Bishops in 1984. The following notes will serve to guide future discussions regarding strategies of evangelization within the Catholic community.
I. DO SOMETHING: WHAT CAN WE DO
- Keep the "Days of Reflection"
- Hold an Office of Black Catholic Ministry 'Open House'
- Meet Black Catholics in other Parishes
- Challenge our Youth
- Create Facebook Page for Youth (work with the Archdiocese of Denver Communications Department)

- Go out of the pews
- Visit other parishes
- Visit/participate with other groups
- Contact persons at each parish/share news
- Recognize the Health Initiative Issues
- Wear our church colors/T-shirts
- Home visits
- Elders
- New members
- Phone tree
