First pitch
On the evening of May 15, under clear and breezy conditions, families from 31 of the archdiocese’s 39 Catholic Schools attended Catholic Schools Night at the Colorado Rockies baseball game. Nearly 3,000 tickets were sold through the Office of Catholic Schools to attend the game against the Washington Nationals at Coors Field in Lower Downtown Denver. The choir from St. Mary School in Littleton performed the national anthem. Auxiliary Bishop James D. Conley threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Rockies beat the Nationals 6-2.
