Jesus Christ calls the African American Community to share the richness and warmth of our ethnicity, cultural values, and deep spirituality with the entire Catholic community. We are united with other Catholics by our common faith, shared hope and mutual charity. Our Lord has called us to proclaim the good news and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit we will answer that call as fully integrated members in the Roman Catholic faith.

Education
- Publication of a quarterly newsletter
- Maintain resource bank of speakers of interest to Black Catholics
- Provide resources for Black Catholic publications and web sites
Evangelization/Catechesis
- Coordination of annual Faith and Unity Conference, Days of Reflection, annual Black Catholic Retreat, and retreats for youth.
- Oversee and coordinate the Pastoral Plan of the National Black Catholic Congress, which convenes every 5 years
Cooperation
Cooperate with other directors and leaders in Black Catholic ministries such as:
- National Association of Black Catholic Administrators (NABCA)
- Denver Council for Black Catholics
- Knights and Ladies of Peter Claver
- Offices of Black Catholics in other dioceses
- National Black Catholic Congress
- Secretariat for African American Catholics
Vocations
Work with the Vocations Office of the Archdiocese of Denver and the USCCB’s African American Secretariat in developing and promoting vocations among people of African descent.
