Guadalupe expert to give free lecture
A leading authority on the 16th century apparitions of Mary to St. Juan Diego near present-day Mexico City will be in Denver to present a free lecture titled, “Jesus Christ, Center of Miracle of Guadalupe.”
Msgr. Eduardo Chavez, postulator of Juan Diego’s cause for canonization, will present the talk at 6 p.m. June 18 in Bonfils Hall of the John Paul II Center, 1300 S. Steele St., Denver.
Msgr. Chavez is founder and rector of the Institute for Guadalupean Studies in Mexico City, author of 28 books and professor at the Pontifical University of Mexico.
