Faith and Hope Prayer Vigil and Mass
A Faith and Hope Prayer Vigil and Mass to bring comfort to the immigrant community during this time of controversy over immigration legislation is set for 7 p.m. May 24 at Queen of Peace Church, 13120 E. Kentucky Ave. in Aurora.
Archbishop Charles Chaput, O.F.M. Cap., will celebrate the Mass, which will follow the 45-minute vigil. Organized by the Denver Archdiocese’s Hispanic Ministry Office, the initiative was approved by the Presbyteral Council.
Parishes, particularly those with large immigrant populations, are being invited to hold similar liturgies at their own churches at 7 p.m. May 24. Hispanic Ministry is offering bilingual resources and support to parishes wishing to organize their own liturgy. For more information, call 303-715-3247 or e-mail Ursula.Jimenez@ archden.org.
