Archdiocesan lawyer to get Civis Princeps Award
Charles Goldberg, senior partner with Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons LLP, who serves as general counsel for the Denver Archdiocese and general counsel for the Diocese of Fargo, N.D., will receive the Civis Princeps Award from Regis University at a May 8 commencement ceremony at the school’s north Denver campus.
Soon after launching his career as a trial lawyer, Goldberg was appointed at age 34 to serve as a district court judge in the Denver District Court. Three other individuals will also Civis Princeps Awards from the school: Edward Robinson and Richard L. Robinson, co-chief executive officers of Robinson’s Dairy, and Michael J. McManus, outreach worker for Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. Yohannes Gebregeorgis, founder of Ethiopia Reads, will receive an honorary degree.
