Do good by golfing

The snow is gone, the greens are ready and now is the time for duffers to grab their bags and head off to the golf courses.  Several schools in the Archdiocese of Denver are now taking reservations for their annual golf tournaments.

St. Thomas More
The 2010 STM Golf Classic is set for May 17 at Inverness Golf Course, 200 Inverness Drive West, Englewood.  Event cost, which includes 18 holes of golf, bag service, door prize, breakfast and lunch and beverage tickets, is $150. Shotgun start at 8 a.m.  Call 303-250-0657.

Bishop Machebeuf High School
The May 28 Pat Panek Memorial Golf Tournament presented by the school booster club will benefit the Bishop Machebeuf athletic department.  The event will be held at CommonGround Golf Course, 10300 E Golfers Way, Aurora.  Call 303-344-0082.

J.K. Mullen High School
J.K. Mullen High School’s  22nd annual Brother Bernard Memorial Golf Classic is set for June 11.  All proceeds benefit tuition assistance. The tournament will be held at Raccoon Creek Golf Club, 7301 W. Bowles Ave., Littleton.  Call 303-761-1764 Ext. 3332.

Sts. Peter and Paul
Indian Tree Golf Course, 7555 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, will be the site of this year’s tournament to benefit Sts. Peter and Paul School. Cost of the June 12 event, which includes lunch, door prizes and more, is $110.  Tee off time is 7:30 a.m.  Call 303-422-2718.

Holy Family High School
All are invited to participate in the annual Holy Family Tiger Golf Classic to support the Sister Aline Dalton scholarship program.  The tournament will be held at Broadlands Golf Course, 4380 W. 144th Ave., Broomfield.  Participants enjoy continental breakfast, goody bag, souvenirs green fees, cart and award luncheon.  Call 303-410-1411 Ext. 1129.

Arrupe Jesuit High School
June 18 is the date for the Arrupe Golf Invitational, to be held at Sanctuary Golf Course, 7549 Daniels Park Road, Sedalia.  Schedule of events includes morning practice, lunch, afternoon shotgun start, dinner and awards ceremony. Call 303-455-7449 Ext. 232.
