Seeds of Hope luncheon set April 16
Special By Denver Catholic Register
The Seeds of Hope Charitable Trust is hosting its 11th annual Hope Springs Eternal luncheon on April 16.
Featured speaker is Sister Eleanor O’Hearn, a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondolet and longtime principal at St. Francis de Sales School in Denver. She will share the success stories of her school and students and will address the importance of Seeds of Hope.
“Sister Eleanor is a beloved member of the Denver Catholic school community,” said Betsy Boudreau, Seeds of Hope executive director.
Also speaking will be one of Sister O’Hearn’s students.
Seeds of Hope serves disadvantaged inner-city children by providing tuition assistance for them to attend Catholic schools.
The luncheon will be held at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center located at 200 Inverness Drive West in Englewood. Registration and silent auction will begin at 11 a.m. The luncheon and program will follow at noon.
The chair for Hope Springs Eternal is Maribeth Hanzlik and the master of ceremonies is her husband, Bill Hanzlik. Bill is a former NBA player and coach.
“The Hanzliks,” Boudreau said, “are immensely committed to the success of Seeds of Hope programs and students.”
Individual tickets are $70 and patron tables of 10 are $3,000, which is used for a student’s tuition. Tickets may be purchased by calling 303-715-3127, or by visiting www.seedsofhopetrust.org. Reservation deadline is April 7.
