The Fraternas - as their members are called - are a community of laywomen who, in responding to God's call, have consecrated themselves to God in order to serve others in the world. They live out full apostolic availability, dedicating themselves entirely to the evangelization of the whole world. Looking to Holy Mary, they assume the mission of living, like Mary, an authentic spiritual motherhood.

After a process of formation, Sodalitium members make perpetual promises of celibacy, obedience and communication of goods to make themselves fully available for apostolic work in the world. Approved by Pope John Paul II on July 8th , 1997, the Archdiocese of Denver became home to the first Sodalitium community in the United States in 2003. The community runs the Catholic Retreat, Conference and Spiritual Center, Camp St. Malo for the Archdiocese of Denver.
