Upcoming events raise vital money for Catholic schools
Many Catholic schools are sponsoring benefits to raise money for everything from operating expenses to tuition assistance. Below are some of the upcoming events.
Our Lady of Lourdes
Our Lady of Lourdes School’s annual Mardi Gras Auction promises to be a wonderful evening of dining and dancing. Cost: $30 per person; raffle tickets are $10 a piece. The event will be held Feb. 6 at the parish, 2256 S. Logan St., Denver. Mass will be at 4:30 p.m. with social hour and dinner to follow. Call 303-722-7525.
Assumption
Treat the love of your life to an evening of romance at the annual Valentine’s Day Ball to benefit Assumption School. The event will include dinner and dancing and silent auction. Tickets: $50 per person. The ball will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 at Heritage Todd Creek Golf Course Restaurant, 8455 Heritage Drive, Thornton. Call 303-288-2159.
St. Bernadette
Time for the 10th annual Red Hot Silent and Live Auction at St. Bernadette School in Lakewood. All proceeds benefit education, capital improvements and maintaining affordable tuition at the school. More than 200 items will be on the block, including the chance for one lucky student to be principal for a day. Cost: $25 per person, includes hors d’oeuvres and dessert. Most Precious Blood
Around the World with MPB, the annual fundraiser to benefit the school is slated for 5:30 p.m. Feb. 20. The evening will include a silent auction followed by dinner featuring cuisine from around the world, a live auction and raffle and concluding with music and dancing. Cost: $60 per person, $120 per couple. The event will be held at the Madden Museum of Art, 6363 S. Fiddlers Green Cir., Greenwood Village. Call 303-753-2393.
Arrupe Jesuit High School
Make your reservations now for the annual Arrupe Magis Night benefit dinner set 5:30 p.m. Feb. 27. The gala will feature keynote speaker Jesuit Father Greg Boyle, founder of Homeboy Industry. On the auction block will be a trip to the Notre Dame vs. Michigan football game, a Las Vegas Weekend for six, a week in Cabo San Lucas and much more. Cost: $150 per person. St. Vincent de Paul
Diamonds Are Forever is the annual Great Expectations Gala to benefit St. Vincent de Paul School. The evening will include dining and dancing, raffle and auction with many fine items up for bid including ski weekends, Colorado Rockies tickets and weekend spa treatments. Cost: $55 per person. St. Louis
Casino Royale, the annual benefit for St. Louis School and Early Learning Center in Louisville, is set for 6 p.m. April 10. It will feature a $10,000 raffle in addition to the Angel auction and dinner. Auction tickets are $45, raffle tickets are $100. Bishop Machebeuf High
The annual Bishop Machebeuf High School fundraiser, the Buffalo Ball, will be held in April with special guest 1965 alum Bishop R. Walker Nickless of Sioux City, Iowa. The evening will feature dining and dancing and attendees can bid in the live and silent auctions. Cost: $65 per person. St. Catherine of Siena
Bella Notte (Beautiful Night) fundraiser for St. Catherine’s School will be held 6 p.m. May 1 in the student union cafeteria at Regis University. Among the many items to bid on at the silent and live auctions will be dinners, art and vacation destinations just to name a few. Following the dinner, some lucky person could come away with a trip for two to France in the evening’s raffle. Tickets: $55 per person, $100 per couple. Call 303-477-8035.
