Within this structure subsidiary entities retain some individualization but are closely associated with the Archdiocese of Denver through an endorsement signature. Within the Archdiocese, there exist subsidiary entities that have developed individualized identities such as Catholic Charities, Centro San Juan Diego and others. Due to their highly specialized missions and, in some cases, individually prominent positions in the community, these organizations must maintain separate identities while maintaining a connection to the Archdiocese. When the subsidiary logo is to appear with the endorsement of the Archdiocese of Denver follow these specifications: The words “Archdiocese of Denver” are to appear on one line, centered under the individual organization’s logo. The Archdiocese endorsement should begin 1 pica from the bottom of the organization logo, with a .5 rule line between the two. The typeface used for the Archdiocese endorsement is Requiem Text Roman. The endorsement should always be set in all caps. The size of the endorsement should maintain its proportions in relation to the logo. To determine the appropriate size, note the following rule: When the logo is 12 picas (two inches) wide, the words “Archdiocese of Denver” should be exactly 15 picas wide. At this size, the endorsement type should be 12 point. From this measurement, the logo and endorsement type should be shrunk and enlarged together so that these proportions are maintained. |
