Redemptoris Mater seminarians installed as lectors
On Dec. 1, during an evening Mass, Denver Auxiliary Bishop James D. Conley instituted four seminarians of the Denver Archdiocese’s Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan Missionary Seminary to the ministry of lector. As lectors, the men may proclaim the Scriptures at Mass. The men of Redemptoris Mater come from Neocatechumenal Way communities across the globe and are in formation to serve as priests for the Denver Archdiocese. They also receive missionary training and may be sent, at the archbishop’s discretion, anywhere in the world. The four are: Vincenzo Cardilicchia from Italy, José Anibal Chicas from El Salvador, Bishop Conley, Arturo Chagala from Mexico and Juan Manuel Bonilla from Ecuador.
