Christmas Mass broadcasts available
During this holy season, the Archdiocese of Denver is offering the faithful several opportunities to watch a Christmas Mass on local television.
The Archdiocese of Denver’s Communications and Liturgy offices will offer a two-hour televised broadcast of Pope Benedict XVI’s Christmas Eve liturgy from Vatican City. The broadcast will air live at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26 and will be re-broadcast at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 25 on KBDI-TV Channel 12.
In addition, a special one-hour televised Christmas Mass in Spanish with celebrant Msgr. Jorge de Los Santos will be shown at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 25 on Azteca America Colorado, available via Comcast Channel 15, Dish/Direct TV 27, Digital 7.27 and Channel 27 analog.
The archdiocese also plans to offer a special Web stream of various Christmas programming on www.archden.org. Just look for the Catholic TV video player in the center of the screen and select from a wide variety of holiday and other religious programming.
Finally, Sirius Radio will broadcast a complete recording of Midnight Mass from the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception celebrated by Denver Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap.
