LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Missing chalice
I have been enjoying the series, “A Priest’s Chalice.” It has brought back many memories of my father’s chalice. My father, Joseph Andrew Callahan, was a fourth-degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus and belonged to the Chalice Club. Upon his death in 1965 we donated a chalice in his name to Holy Family Church in northwest Denver, our home parish. It was to be used by visiting priests. Many years ago we lost track of it; we wanted to use it for our friend, a visiting missionary priest from Pakistan, but the pastor at Holy Family at that time could not find it.
It would be wonderful to know if the chalice is being used. I recently contacted Holy Family and they still cannot find it. We would like the Denver Catholic Register to publish a photograph of the missing chalice in hopes someone will have information about it.
