Tuesday, Oct. 13 - 7 p.m. - Third screening of Our Lady of Fatima movie
UPDATE:
As of Monday, October 12, tickets were sold out for both of the originally scheduled film screenings. In response to this widespread interest, the hosting theater, Elvis Cinemas, has generously donated a third screen for a later showing.
Tickets are now available for a 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13 screening at Elvis Cinemas Tiffany Plaza, 7400 E. Hampden Ave. in Denver.
Tickets are free, but seating is limited and therefore tickets must be reserved prior to the screening. You may reserve your ticket online at www.CatholicScreenings.com or via phone by calling (678) 990-9032. Questions? Email awalker@maximusmg.com.
All local screenings of this film are being sponsored by the local association of the World Apostolate of Fatima. Ticket reservations, however, are managed through a third party, Maximus Films, the official public relations firm working to promote the film throughout the country.
Original Story Below: Oct. 7, 2009 - On Oct. 13 a new film about Our Lady of Fatima, “The 13th Day,” will premier at two locations in the Denver metro area. The premiers are free and open to the public.
Based on the memoirs of Sister Maria Lucia de Jesus dos Santos and independent eyewitness accounts, the film dramatizes the story of three shepherd children from the village of Fatima in Portugal who experienced apparitions from a “Lady from Heaven” in 1917.
At the first apparition, the lady asks the children to return to the same place, at the same time, on the 13th of every month for five months. She later revealed herself to be the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Shrine at Our Lady of Fatima continues to receive more than 4 million pilgrims annually.
The screenings are being sponsored by the local association of the World Apostolate of Fatima in conjunction with Maximus Films, the official public relations firm working to promote the film throughout the country.
