Evening to benefit Haven of Hope set Oct. 17
Anchor Ann Trujillo of 7News and Elway’s restaurant executive chef Tyler Wiard will take part in the Oct. 17 Food for Hope gala, a benefit for the homeless day shelter Father Woody’s Haven of Hope.
The festive event will give people the opportunity to watch live cooking demonstrations with one of Colorado’s best regarded chefs, enjoy catered cuisine, a wine tasting, and a live and silent auction. Items up for bid include golf trips, a wine tasting excursion to Napa Valley, gift baskets and restaurant gift certificates. Also on the block will be a chance for some lucky fan to view the baseball memorabilia collection of Marshall Fogel, one of the premiere collectors in the country today.
Father Woody’s Haven of Hope provides hope and help to people who would otherwise have no place to turn. Every day, Haven of Hope serves more than 100 breakfasts, 150 lunches, provides showers and laundry facilities to the homeless. The shelter assists people with medical co-pays and distributes over the counter medicine. Visitors to Haven of Hope have access to phone, Internet and counseling, and make use of a clothing bank.
Food for Hope is set from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Oct. 17 at Roth Distributing, 17801 E. 40th Ave. in Aurora. Tickets are $75 each.
