Theology of the Body event set Sept. 19
The Mile-High Theology of the Body event is set for 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Christ the King Church in Denver. Everyone, married and single, is invited to come and explore in a more in-depth way, Pope John Paul II’s, “Love and Responsibility.”
The event will feature an array of speakers: Edward Sri, professor of theology and Scripture at the Augustine Institute; Mary Beth Bonacci, world-renowned speaker and writer; Father Thomas Loya, S.T.B., pastor of Annunciation of Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church in Chicago who speaks nationally on theology of the body; and Anastasia Northrop, founder and president of Theology of the Body International Alliance. The day will include lectures and panel discussions.
Christ the King Church is located at 830 Elm St. Registration is $59 until Sept. 4, $69 after. Price includes breakfast and catered lunch. Discounts are available for full-time students and married couples.
That evening participants are invited to relax and enjoy the Manhattan Swing Band at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum, 7711 E. Academy Blvd. in Denver.
The evening will include a reception and guided tours of the aerospace exhibits. Tickets for the dance are $49 through Sept. 4, $55 after. A package deal for both events is available for just $99.
