Atheism vs. religion debate at CU
At 7 p.m. on Jan. 26, the Aquinas Institute for Catholic Thought, the intellectual outreach arm of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center, will host nationally-known speakers Dinesh D’Souza and Christopher Hitchens for a debate at the University of Colorado titled “What’s So Great About God?—God on Trial.” Taking on Christianity, atheism, Islam, fundamentalism and the war on terror, Christopher Hitchens, author of “God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything,” and Dinesh D’Souza, author of “What’s So Great About Christianity,” will draw intellectual swords in an impassioned debate.
