Diaconate Formation

St. Francis School of Theology for Deacons

The purpose of diaconate formation is to assist a man who might feel God is calling him to the Sacred Order of Deacon. Diaconate formation will assist him in prayerfully discerning and validating such a call. The spiritual, intellectual, human and pastoral growth of those in formation is structured and administered according to the National Directory for the Formation, Ministry, and Life of Permanent Deacons in the United States (NDFMPD). Formation is taught in one of two language tracks, English or Spanish. St. Francis School of Theology is a division of St. John Vianney Seminary.
