Three Paulist priests to celebrate silver jubilee

A celebration of the 25th ordination anniversary of Paulist priest classmates Fathers Thomas Holahan, Michael Martin and Terrence Ryan is set June 22 at St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish in Boulder. The three priests will concelebrate the 5 p.m. Mass. A dinner reception will follow in the church hall.

Fathers Martin and Ryan served at St. Thomas with earlier Paulist teams. The three priests were active in campus ministry, the Boulder Shelter, the parish food bank, ministry to the homeless and ministry to newly divorced people.

Father Holahan is currently parochial vicar at St. Thomas. During the four years he has been assigned to the parish he has been active in campus ministry at the University of Colorado, and social concerns and justice. Over the years, Father Holahan served as campus minister at the University of California in Berkley and Los Angeles, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also served as director of communication for the Dioceses of Austin and Columbus, Ohio, and worked in Paulist television and films.

Father Martin, currently on sabbatical in Toronto, Canada, returns to campus ministry this fall at the University of Minnesota's St. Lawrence Parish in Minneapolis. Father Martin has served in campus ministry at West Virginia University in Morgantown. He was pastor of St. Nicholas Parish in North Pole, Alaska, and began the ministry of evangelization at the Paulist information center in Grand Rapids, Mich., and has served in Paulist formation of seminarians.

Father Ryan is pastor of John XXIII University Parish/Catholic Center in Knoxville, Tenn., serving the University of Tennessee. Father Ryan's

first assignment was in Houston, where he learned Spanish and started a Spanish Mass for the parish. He has worked in radio and TV in the Denver archdiocese, and in media and RCIA at the Paulist Center in San Francisco.
