Angel author to keynote Seeds of Hope benefit May 29

'Where Angels Walk' author Joan Wester Anderson to speak about angels

New York Times best-selling author Joan Wester Anderson will speak about the reality of angels in our everyday life noon May 29 at a benefit luncheon for the Seeds of Hope Charitable Trust.

Registration for "Hope Springs Eternal" begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Denver, 1750 Welton St., followed by the luncheon and program.

Seeds of Hope is committed to the belief that educating an impoverished child is saving a life. By making available the benefits of Catholic education, Seeds of Hope provides an opportunity for change to children whose lives are characterized by poverty and crime.

Anderson's "Where Angels Walk: True Stories of Heavenly Visitors" was on the New York Times best-seller list for over a year.

Anderson has written 13 books including "Where Miracles Happen" and "An Angel to Watch Over Me." Her most recent book, "Forever Young," was written at the request of actress Loretta Young on her life.

Anderson has appeared on network television including "Good Morning America," "Oprah" and "20/20." She will share stories about how angels have helped people in their daily challenges.

"We feel that our donors are real live angels to the children who benefit from the work of Seeds of Hope," said Terry Polakovic, Seeds of Hope chief executive officer.

Honorary chair for the event is Bishop José Gomez, S.T.D. Co-chairs for the event are Jane Masterson and Nancy Kopp with corporate sponsors Matt and Peggy Tynan. John Ferrugia and Anne Trujillo of KMGH Channel 7 will serve as master and mistress of ceremonies.

Ticket reservation deadline is May 22. Individual tickets are $60; patron/corporate tables of 10 are $3,000. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Seeds of Hope Office at 303-715-3127.
